the concepts of "transformative" and "curative" fandom were okay ideas, but they went off the rails when-

> cis fandom feminists decided that transformative fandom was something that Women did and curative fandom was something that only Men did, and ne'r the twain shall meet

> because we're all drinking the radfem koolaid now, we've all decided that anything associated with Men is bad bad bad, so curative fandom is bad bad bad gatekeeping and everyone who edits wikis wants women and minorities dead or some shit

> and in contrast to that, transformative fandom is the lovely wonderful safe space full of unicorns and rainbows where everyone treats women and minorities well and people are free to do whatever they want

> and you can't participate in both transformative and curative fandom in different fandoms, or in the same fandom, you either do one or the other and which one you do is determined by what fucking chromosomes you have
