*eyeroll* yeah that's basically my theory too. given how much these same people (in my fandoms at least) then turn around and start yelling about the straight girl fujos who just ship any man together only because they're two dudes and don't actually CARE about their characters

(and then these same people try to insist that a m/f rivalship is TOTALLY the exact same as a f/f subordinate/boss ship)
