I know that in RPF there isn't such a thing as OOC because we don't actually know these people, we only know their carefully constructed stage personas, yada yada yada, but every so often you run into a characterization that is so utterly baffling that you have to wonder, why? What was the author thinking?
For those interested in what provoked this post, a Jrocker was given "I want to have babies and be a happy homemaker but can't" as their sole defining character trait. Let's just say their stage persona is very...at odds with this.

This wasn't a common fanon characterization, though. He's either a psycho murderer or a rough-around-the-edges tsundere, depending on how edgy the author wants to be.

I think someone's projecting onto their fav is what that is.

It also had a side effect of infertility angst, which...You know that one bit in Eclipse where Leah Clearwater says that she's a genetic freak of nature and she'll never be happy because she's sterile?
Imagine that, but stretched out for over ten chapters worth of poorly written angst.
