Okay, now that I've read most of the official FukaBoku TL, I have some Thots.
> I love the very specific vision of queer solidarity that this manga presents. Like, yeah, we've got femme enbies and trans ladies and effeminate gay men and cishet dudes who just like cosplay who all use the same words and exist in the same spaces and they're all friends! This is good!
> This manga is very Aggressively Wholesome and also Very Very Queer, which is normally a combo of things that will normally turn me off from reading a thing, but I love this manga. Maybe it's because the manga is more in the tradition of "cute girls doing cute things" stuff than other Aggressively Wholesome Very Very Queer stuff I've stumbled upon before?
> I mean, I could talk about how good the rep is or how realistic certain parts feel, but honestly, the parts I liked the most were all the fun slice-of-life bits where all of the characters are cramming for exams or shopping or just hanging out and bantering. These are cute characters with distinct designs and funny personalities.
> OKAY BUT. ONE MORE TALK ABOUT THE REP. Tetsu blows every single cishet audience insert who must Learn About The Transes OUT OF THE FUCKING WATER because he isn't just a random ally, he actually has a relationship with queerness that develops as he falls in love with Mogumo and has to confront what this means for his self-conception and how he's been using the construct of "an ally" in order to separate himself from queer people out of fear of being perceived as queer because he's seen his trans sister get so much shit over her life-
I like it. It's good writing.
> Mei and Kotone should kiss. I don't have anything else to say about this. They just should.
