Apparently on Ao3, the "Serial Killer" tags are a subset of the "Sociopathy" tags.

I don't know why but this bothers me.

I am currently in a fandom that has multiple (a word which here means "more than one") trans characters, and me, as someone who writes transfic, is not thinking about writing fic about either of these characters. I am thinking about writing transfic for another character entirely.

And I've been thinking about why that is, and I just realized that I when I write trans characters, I would prefer them to have more personality than "is trans", which the trans characters from INSERT CANON NAME fail. Very, very miserably.

after spending an unreasonably long time thinking about this, i think my final opinion on maps-the-jrock-fanfiction goes like this

as a psycho i'm delighted but as a sperg i'm offended

glaring at the description of this one hide/yoshiki fic in the hopes that i will spontaneously develop the ability to read portugese

it's kind of weird to look at my ao3 and most everything i've written is either fluff or porn, while anything i still have interest in- a fate we plucked unknowingly, a pretty girl followup- is the rare stuff that isn't fluff or porn and is mostly based around People Having A Bad Time

also both of my story ideas ("the oddballs plus sora/mayoi/subaru experience severe ableism and medical malpractice, also there's the worst, most dogfuck rapeworld version of omegaverse happening in the background" and "a3! characters are thrown into a prison city and forced to work out a society, also everyone suffers because they've become A/O and their bodies are changing in horrific-to-them ways") are also about People Having A Bad Time

(and three of those ideas are about gendered suffering as experienced by people who experience misogyny but aren't perceived to be women in the story's world. funny, that?)

i have Weird Opinions about strange desires (the ruki/reita BDSM series) because while it was the first BDSM AU i actually really strongly liked, i also kind of hate it because it allowed me to realize why i didn't vibe with other BDSM fics, thereby making it harder for me to enjoy the subgenre in the future.

I'm thinking about the kinds of queerness that I like to see explored in fiction, and I keep coming back to this fucking Jrock Omegaverse fanfiction and one character from it in particular- Mitsuki.

(a note- in this post, i will be using the term "venusexual" to refer to omegas who are attracted to other omegas. this is a term i made up for my own omegaverse aus, also, i will be using the word "transmasculine" to refer a "trans-alphan"? identity.)

Just in case you want to know how the BTS fanfiction community operates- here's what's happened to the 7 fic writers that I used to regularly read in that fandom:

> 2 of them got canceled off of the face of the Internet and no longer actively write

> 1 got canceled off of the face of the Internet but deleted their entire Internet presence to escape further harassment

> 1 decided that she wanted to file the serial numbers off of her most popular fic, and then also deleted her entire online presence

> 1 responded to a request to translate one of their fics into Russian with a massive temper tantrum and got canceled, but this time for good reasons

> 1 got into a massive blowout on Twitter with another trans man over whether or not it was okay for cis people to consume porn of pre-op trans men, so i stopped reading him on principle

> and the last one appears to have pivoted to writing in the ducktales fandom

am i cursed?
