The difference between A3's and Enstars' writing is that A3 will show you these events and write these beautiful, multifaceted characters, but then the event will end, the character will stop being the focus, and they will return to having one (1) personality trait that is played for (usually cringe-inducing) Komedy.

While Enstars might not have AS much depth of character as A3 at its' best, the characters get to show off different aspects of their personality even in events where they AREN'T the focus character (imagine that)

dear god is it bad. this is going to be an unmitigated disaster.

my favorite(/s) things:

> having such a strong devotion to ensuring the fidelity of the source material that they gave every single character a perfect recreation of their outfit in the anime-style game, resulting in terrible wigs, fake-looking costumes, and those EYES, god, i do not know what it is that makes those candy-colored contacts so viscerally horrifying to look at but GOD every single time one of those characters made eye contact with the camera i wanted to crawl out of my skin

> they are following the dear evan hansen/rent practice of casting the stage actors in the film adaptation, and just as it was a terrible choice there, it was a terrible choice here. just like in those films, a lot of the actors look blatantly too old to be the characters they're playing, but it's worse here because two of the characters are canonically middle schoolers being played by grown men and BOY DOES IT FUCKING SHOW

(Seriously, we've got "My neurodivergence makes it severely difficult to connect with other people and people keep treating it like it's some kind of joke", "stop treating me like a fucking child because I'm disabled", and "being low-empathy doesn't make you unworthy of love, but you do have to at least TRY not to be an asshole" all up in here.)
