god i love that bit in the aq where alhaitham starts getting pissed about what was done to the village keepers and the traveler is like "wait, do you actually feel...sad about what happened to them?" and alhaitham is like "no, i feel no empathy for these people. however, there is a Rule against human experimentation and these people broke the Rule, and that makes me incredibly angry."

honestly any time alhaitham talks about rules just makes me super happy.
