How did you find Dreamwidth? What attracted you to this platform? Why did you start blogging?

I found Dreamwidth during the whole Tumblr porn ban, when people started discussing it as an alternative to Tumblr. I had already been trying to make a clean break from my preexisting social media, so I decided to start up an account. I was largely attracted to it due to the smallness, the fact that there was a comm for visual kei RPF (one of my main fandoms), and the fact that your posts can't be spread out of context without effort, which is something I really hate about mainstream social media.

if i had a nickel for every time i got super into a m/f ship where the girl is a short socially-phobic autistic with mid-length-hair associated with the color green and technology and the guy is a tall lanky trickster archetype, i'd have two nickles.

that's not a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
