I guess we're doing every other day now. Probably more sustainable. My OCs again, and yes, I'm still not done with uploading their profiles to Toyhouse. Wren runs their fingers down Marie’s spine. It’s a perfect white, soaked with black-red vitae and interspersed with thin muscles sculpted out of ruby fibers.

Beautiful. They’ve cut open mortals before, seen their flesh and blood and bone mingle together into a stunning collection of spare parts, but there’s something excruciatingly different about looking inside a Cainite.

“You look like you’re about to pop a boner.” Marie’s smile is crooked, and Wren gets a brief urge to reach over and straighten it out. “Are my guts that sexy?”

They refuse to dignify that question with an answer, instead pressing their lips to Marie’s black, cold heart. This is where her soul is, if that Banu Haqim treatise is to be believed. It’s cold, so beautifully and fittingly cold, and Wren can’t help but lick the dry surface, take in just a hint of the intoxicating taste of heart’s blood.

Marie moans, gripping the back of Wren’s shirt.

It seems I’m not the only one enjoying myself.

1: "would you believe me if I said I was in a time loop?"

Jolyne goes from being torn apart by Made in Heaven to sitting on a bus that smells like stale sweat, and she nearly falls out of her damn seat from sheer exhaustion. I guess you do really see your entire life flash before your eyes when you die…

“Hey! You okay!” Ermes. She tries to help a shaking Jolyne back up into her seat. Without even thinking, Jolyne grabs her wrist.

“I know you’re not going to believe me, but-”

Jolyne was right. She vibrates out of her seat in the visitor’s room, and the instant that Jotaro Kujo walks through the door, she jumps out of her seat. “Dad, you’re not going to believe me, but I’ve gone through this whole thing twice! I think time is looping!”

Her father nods, like Jolyne’s just told him what she wants from McDonalds. “How long is the loop?”

Jolyne keeps her voice casual. “Hey, FF?”

“Yeah?” They lean in closer to Jolyne.

“I’m in a time loop.”

“Okay.” Foo Fighters seems surprisingly calm. They pause to take a long sip of their SuperSize cup of water. “What’s a time loop?”

Jolyne turns to Weather. “I’m in a time loop. Also the priest stole your memories. And he’s your twin brother.”

Weather’s facial expression changes rapidly, between placid acceptance to shock to mad anger. The air fills with electricity. Out of the corner of her eye, Jolyne thinks she can see a rainbow forming.

Eh, can’t win ‘em all.

Jolyne’s body is sticky and tired and she’d honestly take getting the shit kicked out of her by Made in Heaven if it means ending the loop. She brushes a few damp strands of hair out of her face. “Hey, Anasui?”

The man in question responds. “Yes, Jolyne?”

“I’m pretty sure I’m in a time loop.”

The two of them sit there for a while, baking in the hot Florida sun. “Have we… kissed in any of the previous timelines?”

I have a little VtM x Vento Aureo fusion AU that I've been playing around with, the Bucci gang are a Sabbat pack, more details at the link, I wrote some stuff involving this AU for Three Sentence Fic-a-thon, let's get cracking!

(Well, #3 is a broader universe hopping AU collection, rather than pure VtM AU. But I hope you enjoy regardless!)

1: "dysfunctional found family"

“Fuck you! I called dibs!” Narancia’s screaming can probably be heard all the way on the other side of Naples. Bucciarati simply places his head in his hands, as if praying that the sun will finally take him.

“If you wanted to eat him-“ Fugo gestures with a bloodied arm. The rest of the body seems to have disappeared. “-you should have gotten to him first!”

Narancia lets loose a feral scream, more rabid raccoon than vampire, and throws himself at Fugo, the two Cainites crashing through a boarded-up storefront. Mista and Leone abandon their own twitching vessels to scream “FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!”, as Fugo attempts to shove his whole hand into Narancia’s chest.

Giorno looks at him, his (her? its? You never really know with Fiends) eyes glowing faintly in the dark. “I’m assuming this is typical behavior for them.”

Bucciarati simply nods, his eyes distant. “Yes. Yes, it is.”

And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Today's theme is flash fiction about Enrico Pucci from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, aka my babygirl who did Nothing Wrong, Ever, Except For That Time He Ended The World Because People Were Mad About His Boyfriend's Bodysnatcher Swag. Cutie.

1: "family resemblance"

Oh, oh God he can see it.

Wes Bluemarine’s albinism conceals the most obvious linkage between them, but anyone with a sharp enough eye can tell that he isn’t entirely white. Beyond that, their faces are freakishly similar- same lips, same straight nose, passed down through a grandfather, same ears that stick out. Wes is taller, more athletic, with broader shoulders, but their builds are similar.

And, of course, there’s the hair. Bluemarine lets his grow shaggy and free, in contrast to Pucci, who dutifully keeps his close-cut, but it’s the same color, same texture, same prodigious amount…

Perla walks up to Bluemarine, her face that of a girl in love. Pucci watches from across the street, his eyes magnetized to the scene in front of him, as his sister kisses his double with no small amount of passion.

Oh God, Pucci thinks, I’m going to be sick.

Today's three flash fics are about another group of my Vampire: The Masquerade OCs, the Sabbat pack known as the Gravediggers! Sorry I don't have their Toyhouse profiles up today, I was stupid busy.

1: "snow day"

The instant that Marie bolts out the door, screaming “SNOW DAY!” at an ear-splitting volume, Warren is just about ready to smash his face directly into the wall.

The Toreador in question has flung her entire body into a giant embankment of white, leaving a distinctive hole in the snow. “Isn’t it a snow night?” Wren says, wearing nothing but a flannel shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a pair of jeans. “Day already came and went.”

Marie sticks her head up, her dark hair speckled through with icy white. “Nobody says snow night,” and that’s all the warning that Warren gets before a snowball hits him straight in the face, leaving a loathsome wet trail down his nice dress shirt.

“You.” he growls before grabbing Marie with a darkness tendril and throwing her back inside with more force than necessary. He slams the door shut, before turning his attention to his disobedient packmate.

“Guess snow day is canceled.” Noah says to no one in particular, as Marie desperately tries to negotiate down the terms of her punishment.

Five Time Amber Award (sponsored by SoulGlad!) winning pop star Robin was spotted today in the Pier Point shopping district with a mysterious new friend! None of the pictures captured showed off his face well enough to run facial recognition algorithms, so it seems he’ll stay mysterious for a while yet! At least with his combat proficiency (our photographer barely escaped with her life!), Miss Robin appears to be in good hands, and can presumably save on bodyguards!

This article was live for approximately two system hours before multiple anonymous commenters informed us that Robin’s new “partner” has an IPC bounty of approximately 720,500,000 credits on his head. We at StarWatch hope Miss Robin does the right thing and turns him in, and we apologize for our lack of due diligence on the subject.

“Holy shit, Rose, these decorations are amazing!” Aisha walks into the cramped living room, which now looks like a fairly convincing facsimile of a Medieval dungeon. She sits down on the couch, right next to a skeleton dressed in peasant rags. “Especially this guy!”

“Wait.” Theo walks in, his face scrunched up like he’s smelled something foul. He turns to Rose. “You got these skeletons from Spirit Halloween, right?”

Rose laughs nervously. One of the skeletons turns and waves, making Aisha scream and nearly fall off of the couch.

“Isn’t this how everyone does it?”

I will be ATTEMPTING 3weeksfordreamwidth (keyword ATTEMPT). Lately, I've been fulfilling prompts on

threesentenceficathon (and will go back to doing that once the spam prevention capcha gets fixed). I'm gonna be posting 3 of my fills a day, largely revolving around a specific theme. Haruhi willing I will stick to it this time.

Today's theme is DioPucci, one of my most dearly beloved Jojo's Bizarre Adventure ships! Hope you enjoy!

1: "it's not my blood"

Pucci nearly has a heart attack when he walks into the doors of Dio’s mansion and sees the man (or rather, vampire) himself utterly covered in blood, from his golden curls to his equally golden boots.

Before he can even consciously make the decision, he’s rushing over to Dio’s side. “Are you alright?” He’s always been praised for his stoicism, his ability to be the unbending tree in a hurricane, but his voice wavers as he tries to locate any of Dio’s injuries.

“Enrico, what are you doing?” Dio seems genuinely confused, not in pain, but still Pucci can’t stop his heart from racing. “I didn’t take you for an exhibitionist.”

That gets Pucci to stop in his tracks. “What?”

Dio just smiles his typical enigmatic grin, shifting a little on his couch. It’s at this point that Pucci notices a lack of tears in his clothing or gashes in his skin. “Were you lonely, all alone in America, with only your hand for company? You simply couldn’t help yourself from jumping right on me, couldn’t yo-“

Pucci sighs. “I was trying to see if you were injured, Dio. You’re covered in blood.”

“Do you have such little faith in me?” Dio looks at Pucci, his eyes possessed of a distinctly feral glint. “Do you think it’s possible that anyone could spill a drop of my blood without my say-so? It’s not my blood.”

Oh. “Forgive me. I was simply worried.” For a moment, the idea of losing Dio had made itself known to Pucci, and it unsettled him.

Dio seemed somewhat taken aback at those words, but he quickly regained his composure. “I could never stay mad at you for long.”

As if you could get mad at me at all. Though he would never test that theory, Pucci had acquired the distinct impression that he could burn down Dio’s mansion and receive only minor reprobation. “Would you like my help getting into cleaner clothes?”

Dio smiled in response, showing off a flash of fang. “Do you think I’d ever say no to that?”

Are there any forums, social media groups, or online communities you frequent to discuss your fandom?

I sometimes hang out on the Enstars subreddit, but most of the time I'm just screaming into the void on Tumblr or Dreamwidth.

How would you describe the overall atmosphere and culture within the fan community?

*laughs uncertainly* It's a community that tends to skew rather young and dramatic, so there's some unpleasant drama, though I do think that the fandom has become less drama-prone over time as it's grown less niche. It's more interested in meta explaining character actions and symbolism than a lot of other fandoms I've been in, so I like that aspect of the fan community.

Do you keep up with any official or fan-authored wikis or encyclopedias about your fandom?

I sometimes check the Enstars wiki (and i wish them a please please move off FANDOM already) but I wouldn't say I "keep up" with them.

Have there been any significant retcons or changes to the fandom that have sparked debate?

Oh yes. The move from ! era to !! era did spark debate, and of course every time a character behaves in a way that is not perfectly in accordance with the morality of Twitterpeople, that sparks glorious debate. There's some Knights-related retcon courtesy of Kinosei that I think sparked a lot of debate, but I ignore the Knights stan part of the fandom so I don't really know the details.

Who is the creator or original author of the work your fandom is based on?

While Ensemble Stars is a corporate product and thus has many hands in the pie, Akira, the head scenario writer, is considered by most of the fandom to be sort of the "real daddy" of the franchise. This is probably not true, but alas. At least Enstars credits their writers.

Can you name a few lesser-known facts about your fandom that only true fans would know?

Okay!

Have you met any of your closest friends through this fandom?

Not really. I did have the IRL friend that was also an Enstarrie, but I feel we met more through proximity and less through the fandom itself.

Does your fandom affect the kind of events or vacations you plan?

Currently, I'm looking at what places in Japan are likely to have the greatest and cheapest selection of Enstars merch. So, yes.

Have your family and friends been supportive of your involvement in the fandom?

My mother is! (even if she is a filthy casual animanga fan who only consumes Shounen Jump adaptations and officially-localized BL). I remember when we were rummaging through the plushie bargain bin at this anime store and she held up a plush of Mikleo from Tales of Vesperia and said to me "Is this one of your Enstars boys?"

How does your fandom inspire you in your everyday life?

I guess it creatively inspires me to do things like meta and analysis, but I'm not the kind of person who takes a lot of life inspiration from fictional stuff.

Okay, so I'm going to be answering five questions from this Questions To Ask A Fangirl page each day for Three Weeks for Dreamwidth (while I may not be a fangirl, I am some form of fancat, or perhaps an otaku? anyways,) I'm focusing on Ensemble Stars, which is a Japanese multimedia franchise, primarily based around the idol raising rhythm gacha game with kinetic novel elements of the same name, but it also includes anime, manga, stage plays, loads and loads of music, and a very melodramatic plot.

How did you first discover your fandom?

I was farting around on TvTropes, as you do, before I stumbled across the Ensemble Stars work page, which hooked me in immediately.

What was it about the fandom that initially captured your interest?

I can actually name three separate things! The first thing that hooked me, on the TvTropes page, was the immediate appeal of the art- the boys are very pretty and the art is very clean and shiny and has a very recognizable feel, which kept me reading and looking at the page. Then, while I was reading the tropes, I was like "holy shit this plot is insane", which prompted me to actually take a peek at the damn thing. And then, I read Reminiscence*Marionette, fell completely and utterly in love with this story of a dysfunctional found family packed full of doll motifs, an incredibly compelling depiction of an abusive autistic weirdo who is sympathetic at the same time he's a terrible person, a compelling depiction of an abuse victim who loves his abuser about the same amount he desperately needs to get out (and does, happily), and was completely and utterly obsessed.
