the year; in restrospective

I can remember that around this time last year, I walked up to my bedroom mirror, looked my reflection dead in the fucking eye, and said to it "I will survive this year if it kills me."
And I did! I got very close to giving up, but I did! I LIVED, MOTHERFUCKERS. I LIVED. YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO TRY A LOT BETTER THAN THAT IF YOU WANT TO GET RID OF ME, BITCH.
I'm not going to look at my writing output this year, because I basically failed at every goal I set for myself at the start of the year, and that's just going to depress me.
I'll just satisfy myself that even with a pandemic going on and my mental health in the shitter while my physical health deteriorates because my musculoskeletal system decided to join the list of systems that Don't Do Their Fucking Job- I wrote! I wrote things!
I also drew things! I came up with the entire Mobile Mecha Cosmos setting this year, as well as refining the Tokyo by Night setting from it's previous "Island of Misfit OCs" concept into a full-fledged urban fantasy idea, and that was good.
