this has literally no point

I revisit Gravitation, the first work that showed me that queer people could be the heroes of our own stories and not just side characters in straight people's stories, and then find out that not only does the representation not hold up, it also just...isn't very good?

I revisit Attack on Titan, the first work I read that had a nonbinary character who's gender wasn't treated as a running joke, and then get to all the fashy subtext and it makes my stomach turn.

I don't really have a point to this, other than, "fuck, i hope utsumi hiroko doesn't turn out to be, like, a terrible person"
