after the Absolute Hell that has been trying to wrangle the splintered silver timeline into shape i have decided that so beautiful and so stubbornly alive (the hayashi hitomiverse has a name now!) will take place unmoored in natural time. i will not waste myself worrying about years and ages other than "there is some age-related fuckery going on with the main characters" and "this work does not take place in CURRENT_YEAR"

i am Tired piglet, i am Tired. I have had to wrangle a timeline taking place over 4,000/1,000 years of Earth's history (depending on how you count) and i have dyscalculia, i deserve a Break.

I will give Akudama Drive this- it managed to, after ten episodes, finally pull out a piece of disturbing imagery that made me, lover of guro and dark shit, go Jesus Fuck Holy Shit and stick in my head long after the episode ended without actively triggering me.
