Chandler's Law: When someone with bigoted ideas also does something cringe, their critics will hyperfocus on the cringe part and only bring up the bigoted stuff when people call them out for bullying someone over harmless cringe.

EDIT: I feel like this is somewhat related to the phenomenon of callout posts which spend 90% of their length talking about the degenerate porn the person likes/creates and keep the Actual, Real-World Bigotry/Sex Crimes to a few-sentence mention at the end.

i'm sure there's some fascinating sociological reason behind why ikemen/bishonen franchises have added "The Queer One" as one of their stock guys (or not-guys, hi arashi!) but i don't know enough of the sociological context behind why that is to make an argument but i'm pretty sure that whatever the reason is would be an interesting one
