May. 7th, 2022 08:51 pmThere's probably something interesting to be said about how primarily male-targeted IPs like Genshin or Arknights depict "feminist fantasies", not despite of their intention as male-targeted, but because of it.*
*(if you want to have a bunch of badass waifus who do cool stuff, it would be actively detrimental to show them struggling with sexism. likewise, too much discussion about gender could drive a (pericis) male audience away, so they don't discuss it.)
