okay i have um. deep ambivalence regarding ff’s canon pronouns i guess

like i kind of think it’s cool in the abstract that there’s a theythem genderweirdo in a shounen punchy series and like, they’re a plankton colony so plural they is probably the most correct but also like

why in god’s name are a bunch of randos in a florida prison theytheming someone with ff’s general gender presentation

i mean if it’s their friends then fine whatever i can suspend my disbelief that far but everyone does it and it’s just driving me insane
