I was going to write more on why I think that Eichi's Bitter Cripple Who Is Jealous Of The Ableds thing works for me, but I realized that the answer is very simple.
It's completely incidental to his motivation. His motivation isn't that he's jealous of his able-bodied idol classmates for their skills, his motive is that he wants to fucking revolutionize the world of entertainment! The only reason he's A Bitter Cripple Who Is Jealous Of The Ableds is because his disability is an obstacle in achieving his ACTUAL GOAL.
It's also more understated than normal. Eichi's bitterness usually exists in subtle ways, mostly in the way he talks about his own body and the bodies of others, and when he explicitly talks about his jealousy, it's mostly internal monologues, not external ones, where this trait of his is most firmly established. He's not going on angry villain monologues about how much he wants a new body- this is pretty much the only thing he won't monologue about.
So...yeah.
