on one hand, i might just need to sit down and realize that there are some characters/works who just mean so much to me that i am literally incapable of participating in discussions on their merits as Good Queer Rep because my hindbrain sees it as You, Your Direct Personhood Is Being Threatened By People Not Liking X As Rep and this is bad and i need to Stop This

on the other hand i'm sure i'm not the only one who thinks "this bi male character ended up with a woman, therefore, this is bad rep" is kind of fucking stupid?

Agreed. "Bi people only count when they're Actually Gay" is plain old monosexism.
