Shamelessly stolen from
skorvid.
1. Do you write your first draft by hand, or digitally?: LOL. I stopped writing by hand when I (finally) learned how to touch type and never looked back. So, digitally.
2. Do you have a writer’s notebook? Read the first question.
3. Planner, pantser, or planter? Uhhh...planter I guess? I don't plan my oneshots in advance. I do plan some of my multichaps, but it's mostly a guideline.
4. What is your favorite place to write? My blue armchair in the corner of the kitchen.
5. What is your least favorite place to write? Anywhere someone can easily peer over my shoulder and read my screen.
6. What is your favorite writer’s drink? Anything that I normally drink? I don't know? Do people drink specific things when they write?
7. What do you like to eat when you’re writing? This specific brand of gluten-free pretzel. I don't know what the brand is, but the bag's purple!
8. Do you like to write where it’s quiet, or with noise? If noise, what kind? I prefer silence, except when I'm writing fight scenes. Then I blast Set It Off and similar music.
9. Do you have a favorite writing season? (eg. spring, summer, fall, winter) I don't know!
10. Do you make imageboards or storyboards or playlists before you write a story? Do you do them during?
I don't do any of those things! I was thinking about making imageboards for some of my original work, but I couldn't find the kinds of pictures I wanted.
11. How do you feel about worldbuilding? *happy flapping* Worldbuilding is good! It's very good!
12. How many drafts does your work go through before you’re ready to show it to people or publish? 2 drafts. I like to get it out fast, because if I don't, I'll never release it.
13. How do you feel about editors and editing? I edit my own stuff, pretty much. It's pretty often for me to get stuck in a cycle of editing and re-editing, so I usually limit myself to releasing a work when I think it's 80% of perfect.
14. What is your favorite part of the writing process? Writing?
15. What do you do when you have no inspiration, but have to put something on the page/get that story finished? *nervously giggles* I guess I just don't write it?
16. What do you do when you have lots of inspiration, but no way to actually sit down and write? Sit and let it percolate in my head, or write planning documents.
17. Have you ever dreamed something that ended up in a story? Nope, not to my knowledge.
18. How often do you hit save/back up your work? I write most of my stuff in Google Docs, so it autosaves every time I change something.
19. What is your favorite punctuation mark? This one! (~)
20. Have you ever gone to school for writing? Would you? No and no.
21. How do you get better at writing? Do you read articles, blogs, or books about writing for tips and tricks? Watch videos? Make it up as you go along? Something else? I'm a member of team Make It Up As I Go Along.
22. What’s something you wish you learned earlier as a writer? Be willing to let things go. I have the "80% Rule", which is where when I think a fic is 80% perfect, I release it to the world. I have to let it go because if I don't, I'll be revising and revising and re-revising for increasingly diminishing returns.
23. What is the first thing you remember writing? A story in third grade about three kittens going on an adventure. I wrote it for a school assignment (I was told to write a short story). It ended up being five pages long, front and back.
24. What is the last thing you worked on? Writing out some background for an original work. It's about a magic school!
25. Your perfect writing day would be… I don't know. One where I write a lot?
