ya know, i've seen a lot of crit of hypmic, a lot of people talking about the cultural appropriation, the accidentally-misogynistic worldbuilding, how they played hifumi's trauma/multiplicity For Laffs, the fact that they've got a known blackfacer heading up their RAP franchise, all that stuff, but you know what i've never seen?

people seriously talking about how the entire foundation of dice's character is "hello, i am a homeless addict. i am supposed to be a stupid pathetic idiot who you alternate between laughing at and feeling sorry for, and my addiction is repeatedly played for laughs."
