I wonder to what extent "I got into this because it was shiny and new and developed an autistic attachment to specific characters, now the shine's fallen off and I see that the work's actually shit, but I can't look away because I'm still attached to these characters" is becoming a deliberate marketing strategy for some Corporate Art.
