yeah i know that dio probably didn't love pucci, at least not in the same way that pucci loved dio, but that doesn't really matter to me? like objectively speaking, dio trusted pucci more than he trusted anyone else. he let him remove his disk, he trusted him with the heaven plan, which to me speaks to a level of trust that is itself remarkable and extraordinary for someone like dio, to put himself in such a vulnerable position?

dio's feelings for pucci (and my feelings about their relationship) kind of remind me of that post (i think a reptile owner made it?) about how yes, your reptile physically can't bond with you in the same way you do with it, but isn't it remarkable that it tolerates your presence without fear? isn't that in itself special?

if i had a nickle for every androgynous purple-haired anime freak of an anime man with a name starting with a letter m for whom i have spent far too long thinking about their backstories involving oodles of horrific sexual abuse, i'd have two nickels. that's not a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.
