my five oddballs gender headcanons are, if anyone wants to know:
rei: very strongly left-of-bigender, where the "female" is Hard Butch and the "male" is The Vampire Lestat. more okay with being put into the "GNC dude" group than the transfemme group, but only tangentially identifies as a man.
wataru: gender is a playground and they are a small child who's just drank too much koolaid. plays with presentation freely and with reckless abandon. does not have any strong feelings gender-wise, is just here to have a good time and fuck with social rules
kanata: have you ever heard of the male/female/autistic gender triangle? well, kanata's mostly sitting pretty on that point labeled autism and is very apathetic about gender. okay with being gendered any which way but mostly sticks to presenting as a dude for ease of convenience
shu: trans guy who's ideal of masculinity is less "hypermasc buzzcut dude" and more "18th-century aristocrat". i think that's all i have to say on the matter.
natsume: nonbinary trans not-a-woman. gender could be best summed up as "mad alchemist demon thing". views a lack of woman-ness as more essential to his gender than any sort of male-ness, but presents as a dude because all that stuff above is really difficult to explain.
