Two Assorted Thoughts In One

Fandom-as-activism people are honestly such a trip. I just saw a Tumblr post that said that you couldn't call yourself an anti-capitalist if you read sugar daddy AUs.
I've been seeing the idea around Tumblr that at least in the USAmerican system, "gifted child" is basically a euphemism for "neurodivergent child who's neurodivergence isn't severe enough to justify putting them in special ed, but they can't function in a normal classroom environment".
This reminds me of a pamphlet I found on my mom's desk in elementary school, Signs of A Gifted Child or something like that, and one of the "signs" was an increased sensitivity to certain stimuli.
