thinking about my experience in fe3h fandom and i realized that it wasn't that pro-shippers were on average less ableist towards psychotic people, it was just that they didn't have that group-wide culture of "i will harass marginalized people for daring to be kinky in public" or "i will post violent fantasies about harming people/characters i hate and spam them all over general fandom tags" so they were on average much more tolerable

It's amazing how fast I soured on Edelgard thanks to the stans and antis. It's okay to dislike Dimitri... but maybe come up with a reason other than "he's mentally ill, therefore he deserves to be put down like a rabid dog," my dudes.
