okay. so.

we know canonically that demon transformation cured nakime's blindness, and it's implied that it cured enmu's psychosis, so, is there anything different about douma that made it not cure whatever empathy disorder he has?

(i mean. apart from the fact that the author didn't think that hard about it.)

I haven’t read this in forever, but my first thought is “I’ve acted like this my whole life, and I don’t know how to be different.” In Exist Archive, one of the antagonists has his sociopathy physically cured, but he still acts violent and destructive because that’s the pattern he’s always followed.
