i was going to post "why is it that all of the weirdly good multiplicity rep is in dating sims" but. this may be influenced by the fact that i play a lot of dating sims.

But that's because I read/play/watch a lot of fantasy. :P

I’m trying to think of multiple rep I would actually recommend. There’s stuff where the multiples aren’t completely awful, but they’re all things I wouldn’t recommend for other reasons.

Uendo isn’t bad, but Athena spends a long time falsely suspecting them due to the stereotype of the evil alternate personality. It gets pretty uncomfortable.

(I...may be writing some plural characters and being incredibly worried about doing it right because my brain weasels are Like That)

Okay, so don't worry that much about rep, I have, like, stupidly low standards so my two Criteria are basically:

> Don't do the "evil multiple" trope.

> Don't present integration as a happy ending.

And I mean you can look at stuff and quibble about other presentations but honestly 99% of mainstream representation of multiplicity fails at one or both so just don't do THAT and you'll probably be better than a lot of mainstream media.

The two I was thinking of are Shuffle and Amnesia Memories. I actually wouldn't recommend Shuffle unless you have a specific fondness for mid-2000s harem anime and the multiplicity is pretty "fantasy" (one of the LIs shares her body with her stillborn twin sister).

Amnesia Memories I WOULD actually recommend as a dating sim (just. don't watch the anime, it's terrible) but the main caveat is that the multiple LI's alter starts out as a crazy violent yandere and it's only in the sequel fandisk(which as far as I know does not have an official translation) where he mellows out. The positive side is that it's just really good rep (in my opinion), it's treated super casually.

I mean, considering I'm writing this in fanfic of a very niche nature, I don't know WHY the weasels are bothering, there's only five people (ok, no, the hit counts say more than that, but no one ever comments, so five people) reading in the first place. But weasels gonna wease?

And now I'm going to throw rocks at the weasels cuz for one 'verse, integration would mean Bad Ending. :D
