I'd have to ask wife if she remembers the exact source, but hyde himself says he doesn't like to be labeled, but if pressed, he would say he leans pansexual. But his first preference is to not be labeled at all, so we mostly stick with that.

If it's the video I *think*, it wasn't some big name press service, it was some indie journo who got to spend a day shadowing hyde and interviewing him in a mix of Japanese and English, but I could be confusing my videos and lort knows my brain can't remember when this was, other than he was preparing for solo show(s).)
[eta] I asked and sadly she can't remember exactly when/where it happened either. XD Sometimes our shitty memories can combine to make most of one decent memory. Other times not so much. XD I wish I could remember enough to have a hope of finding the exact interview again... it's not a question he's usually asked, so it was almost definitely a nosy American who asked, and yet he had an answer ready, so.... :shrugs:
