a couple nights ago i dreamed up a hypothetical piece of media.

> the protagonist was a self-closeted super-in-denial transmasc person named "perrin". super fluffy coffee-colored hair.

> it was set in like some sort of psuedo-1800s England where sexism didn't exist and polyandry was legal but somehow the concept of trans people just. didn't exist.

> the story involved perrin joining the royal navy and winding up with a harem of hot dudes yaddah yaddah yaddah and being put in positions where they had to "crossdress" as a dude. like. constantly.

> at least some of the love interests were more interested in perrin when they were "crossdressing". at least two of them had long hair. other than that i don't know jack shit about the dudes

> the ship got sunk at some point? i don't know?

> the story ends with perrin marrying all of their love interests and settling down, but with the unshakable melancholy of Something Missing still hanging in the air because even though they've got everything they've ever wanted, they're not fully happy...

I had a very bizarre dream last night involving a certain Japanese rock musician, and the only takeaway I got from it was that I want the t-shirt that featured in the dream- it was black, with white text in a sort of typewriter font in all lowercase, reading "no one knows that i'm nonbinary"
