Just watched the Episode Nagi movie. In somewhat related news, I once read a “dating advice for borderlines, by a borderline” that suggested that if you want to date someone else with severe mental illness as a borderline, you should dare people with “calm” mental illnesses (depression, alexthymia, dissociative disorders, autism, schizoid personality disorder). I think Reo and Nagi are what you get when that advice goes wrong.

1. I can't say I ever specifically sought out partners for their specific neurodiversities. I'm crazy, it just kind of... happened that I dated other people like me. Heck, I don't think anyone I dated even knew they were ND when I dated them.

2. Splitting mental illnesses into "calm" and... IDK, "active" or "agitated" is... a way of looking at mental illness that's reductionist past the point of uselessness and into the point where you're actively wrong about things.

3. Autism as a "calm" diagnosis actually made me laugh. Even ignoring the prevalence of comorbidities among autistics, has this person ever seen a meltdown? It's not calm.

4. I just want to have a few words with this person. In the same way that I want to stare at a train wreck.
